Not the news we want to share this early in the season. Three more 250SX West coast riders will sit out this weekend’s round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Ryder DiFrancesco, Garrett Marchbanks, and Stilez Robertson are all confirmed out for Anaheim 2. Scroll below to see the details on each rider.

DiFrancesco
No word yet from on the extent of the injury, but a crash sustained on Thursday’s training will unfortunately sideline Rockstar Energy GasGas Factory Racing’s Ryder DiFrancesco ahead of this weekend’s Anaheim 2 round of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship.

“I am gutted that we share the news of Ryder D’s practice crash at RD Field yesterday,” said team manager, Sean Murphy. “Ryder was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was evaluated for his injuries. In just his second year of racing Supercross, Ryder had been showing incredible potential and was making significant strides toward the podium. This setback early in the season is gut-wrenching, as Ryder was on an upward trajectory, improving with each round. Our rider’s safety and health will always be our top priority, and we will ensure that Ryder takes the necessary time to recover fully and come back stronger.”

Marchbanks
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider, Garrett Marchbanks will sit out this weekend after a midweek injury. Again, the team is keeping this one close to the chest, but did make an announcement via social media. This comes after Marchbanks looked good just a week ago and won his heat race in San Diego.

From the team: “Garrett Marchbanks will not be lining up at Anaheim 2 this weekend as he focuses on recovering from an injury. Updates to come on his return to racing.”
The Pro Circuit team also announced earlier this week that Ty Masterpool will not line up either, leaving the team rider-less for A2 unless they debut Supercross rookie, Drew Adams.

Robertson
Stilez Robertson did not race San Diego and will also miss the upcoming Anaheim 2. The Triumph rider, who is coming off multiple wrist injuries, injured his left wrist during qualifying and needs further time to heal the ligament.

From the team: “Although Robertson didn’t crash in the incident, the heavy impact bruised a bone and caused minor ligament damage. While the initial prognosis was positive for a fast recovery, despite the best efforts to ensure Stilez could line up this weekend in Anaheim, the injury proved too much to overcome in such a short space of time.”

“I’m completely gutted to miss the next two races,” said Robertson. “I’ve been off the bike a lot over the last year, so this really hurts me. Hopefully it won’t be too long and this ligament will heal up and I’ll be good to go again! Thanks to the team and people around me for helping me keep my spirits up and I’m looking forward to being back at the races as soon as I can.”
“At the San Diego supercross last weekend, Stilez overjumped the triple jump and injured his left wrist,” said Jeremy Coker. “We had it evaluated straight away and initially, it looked like physiotherapy would be enough to get Stilez on the line this weekend in Anaheim. Unfortunately, after doing everything we can to get Stilez strong enough to race, we’ll have to postpone his return as he needs to take at least two weeks off the bike. Both the team and Stilez will give it every effort to be at 100% when we return to west coast racing.”
