Hobbs, New Mexico served as the battleground for round nine of the 2023 AMA Arenacross Series. Points leader and defending champion Kyle Peters put together another perfect night of racing as he swept both of the Pro mains.

The first main event saw Devin Harriman up front early with another Kyle, Honda-mounted Kyle Bitterman, battling with Peters, as the two made their way to the front. Harriman eventually tucked the front end and fell out of first, giving the two Kyle’s their chance to duke it out for the lead. The two Honda riders went at it for the next few laps, putting a number of block-passes on one another. Peters eventually got the upper hand and went on to take the victory.

Main two flipped the running order, which put Peters and Bitterman starting on the back row of the gate. Bitterman got the better start and found himself second by the second turn. Later on during the opening lap, Bitterman tangled with another rider and hit the deck, essentially ending his chance at another podium.
