Kawasaki announced the arrival of a new model, the KLX230R S.
The KLX230R S is basically a KLX230R with shorter legs. Suspension travel has been reduced from 9.8 inches to 8.7 inches in the front and from 9.9 inches to 8.8 inches in the rear, with the ultimate goal of lowering the bike’s seat height to make it accessible to more riders. As a result, seat height has been reduced one full inch, from 36.4 inches to 35.4 inches.
This “…appeals to rides who prioritize a lower seat height and ample ground clearance while offering a full-size recreational trail bike option,” says Kawasaki.
Like the original “R” model, the “S” model features a 233cc fuel injected air-cooled four-stroke engine, electric starting, full-size 21-inch and 18-inch wheels with front and rear disc brakes.
MSRP is $4399 and the California model is green-sticker compliant.
