ELKHART LAKE, WI, MAY 31 – Yamalube Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha’s JD Beach edged out Wheels In Motion/Motorsport.com/Meen Yamaha’s Josh Herrin and teammate Garrett Gerloff in a thrilling photo finish in today’s MotoAmerica Supersport race. In the end it was a mere .009 of a second that Beach had over Herrin that tied the pair in points. In third, Gerloff crossed the line a scant .003 of a second behind Herrin.
In fourth was Bobby Fong on the Latus Motors Racing Triumph in fourth ahead of RoadRace Factory’s Tomas Puerta. Fong was a part of the lead group early on in the race, but ultimately had to settle for fourth, a valiant effort for Fong who is still recovering from a shoulder injury.
M4 Suzuki/SportbikeTrackGear.com’s David Anthony ran a lonely race in sixth. Behind Anthony was Puerta’s teammate Cameron Petersen and Kyle Wyman on the Kyle Wyman Racing Yamaha. Rounding out the top 10 was Ben Young on the other Road Race Factory Yamaha and Tuned Racing’s Corey Alexander
