2018 Monster Energy Supercross Preview From Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-WPS-KTM
This is a press release from Dubya USA…
Happy New Year and Welcome to 2018! We are stoked that the Monster Energy Supercross season kicks off this weekend at our home track at Angel Stadium. We are excited to once again be working with the talented team at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-WPS-KTM for this Supercross season! We have outfitted the riders with Talon Ultra Lite hubs laced to Excel Takasago rims, a killer combo that we know will serve these guys well as they attack Supercross tracks across the country!
#4 | Blake Baggett
2017 was a breakout year for Baggett, who put in a solid Supercross season with 15 finishes inside the top 10 and a season-best third-place podium at Atlanta. Blake finished out the Supercross season in sixth place in the 450SX standings, but it was the outdoor nationals where he really started to shine.
After a sixth-place finish in the series opener, Baggett would go on to finish each of the remaining races in the top five. At Thunder Valley Baggett won his first-career Pro Motocross moto and took the overall victory, and followed it up with a second consecutive win at High Point!
Baggett led the 450MX points standings for part of the season and ended up posting a career-best third place on the season. We can’t wait to see what the 2018 Supercross season holds for Blake Baggett!
#60 | Benny Bloss
The promising newcomer missed most of the 2017 race season recovering from injury, but Bloss bounced back partway through the Pro Motocross season, earning multiple top-15 finishes. Bloss would continue to regain his pre-injury speed at the Monster Energy Cup where he took eighth-place overall. This former Pro Motocross Rookie of the Year is eager to dive into a full season of racing, so keep an eye on #60.
#42 | Dakota Alix
Dakota Alix joined the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC team partway through the 2017 season as a fill-in for the injured Bloss, but quickly made his mark in the Supercross season. The up-and-coming rider posted multiple top-15 finishes in the 2017 Pro Motocross 450MX class, so look out for some top-10 finishes before the season’s over.
#56 | Anthony Rodriguez
The newest member of the team, Rodriguez will climb aboard his Dubya-equipped KTM to compete in the 250SX East Coast Championship.
