Dunlop’s Sportmax Roadsmart III Tires
Press Release | March 21, 2017
The new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart III tires are made to wear longer.
The new Dunlop’s Sportmax Roadsmart III tires are made to wear longer. The testing was done on a 2016 BMW R1200RT and yielded more than 12,000 miles on the Dunlop Roadsmart III, 3,000 miles more than the Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT. They have Dunlop’s exclusive MT Multi-Tread design that binds to a high-mileage compound in the center, and high-adhesion compound to the lateral flanks for high cornering grip. The sidewall is also new to improve shock absorption for reduced rider fatigue.
The tires are designed to work on everything from middleweight sportbikes for riders looking for more mileage, to big powerful performance touring machines. Engineers placed a priority on even wear to maintain light steering, consistent braking and handling, and excellent ride quality over the long life of the tires.
