Malcolm Stewart In For Anaheim 2 SX: Early indications were that reigning 250cc East SX champ Malcolm Stewart, along with his legendary older brother, were going to be returning to action at the Oakland Supercross, round five of the 2017 Monster Energy/AMA Supercross Series. However, Malcolm let loose on his Instagram page yesterday with this picture of his new Suzuki RM-Z450, along with the words “Here we go” and emojis for fire and flexing biceps, indicating he should be racing his first AMA 450cc Supercross this weekend at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, showing up two rounds earlier than expected.

There’s no word yet on when (or even if) James will be returning to action with Malcolm, but Malcolm’s race rig is due to be wrapped like below on its way west to California, showcasing new title sponsor Ride365.com. The interesting part is that if this wrap-design is accurate, it features Malcolm’s racing number, but not James Stewart’s familiar number-7. Maybe that indicates that James won’t be racing out of the same semi as Malcolm, maybe he won’t be racing at all, or maybe this rig wrap isn’t a finished concept.

Oklahoma whip artist Brett Cue has long been involved with Ride365.com, and he had this to say on his Facebook page:
“If you had told me this was going to happen a few months back, I would have called you a liar. I’m super excited to say that @ride365com is the title sponsor of Ride365.com Stewart Racing for the 2017 SX season! We’re looking forward to working with these guys and building a video series so you can be right in the action! Keep an eye out later this week to see what @daytondaft creates for episode 1! “
We should be able to find out more by this weekend, so stay tuned.
