FMF KTM’s Ivan Ramirez took a wire-to-wire victory at round 3 of the Kenda/SRT AMA Hare & Hound National Championship Series. Ramirez dominated the Dirt Inc Rabbit Creek 100 ahead of defending champion Ricky Brabec, and managed to close the points gap considerably (though Brabec still leads by four points). Idaho native David Kamo rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.

Ramirez got out to an early start and sealed his victory by remaining mistake-free until the finish. Brabec stayed within striking distance aboard his THR Motorsports Kawasaki, but was unable to overtake the lead due to the narrow trails of the Idaho terrain.

“Out here is a little different than the Southern California desert,” said Brabec. “I never really had a chance to get around him; I was always just sucking his dust, but he rode good.”

The win marked Ramirez’s first victory of the season.

“I knew I just had to relax and be patient and not make any mistakes,” Ramirez explained. “You just had to ride your own race and be smart.”
