Video: 2014 Washougal Outdoor Motocross Highlights

Cycle News Staff | July 28, 2014

Round nine of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship visited beautiful Washougal, Washington and provided much different track conditions than a week earlier in Minnesota. This change allowed Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey to dominate both motos. The conditions also fit Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin and he too put in a commanding 1-1 score.

In the 450 class, another strong performance by GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac earned him 2-2 motos and helped Dungey gain ten points on his KTM teammate in the championship chase. Roczen finished third with 3-3 scores.

Marvin Musquin started the season coming off a knee surgery and then injured his shoulder at the opening round at Glen Helen. So he has been slowly getting back up to speed and it all came together for him at Washougal. Monster Kawasaki’s Blake Bagget took second with 5-2 scores and Jeremy Martin maintained his large points lead with 4-4 scores for third overall
