Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson is already in healing mode after suffering a terrible gash to the back of his knee when he crashed while running fifth in the second moto at the Glen Helen National Motocross, May 24. Luckily, the injury isn’t quite as bad as first feared, but it’s still pretty serious, and it is not yet known when he will be able to get back on the track again.

“It all is kind of a blur because it happened so fast,” said Wilson. “I just got kicked off my Kawasaki KX250F coming down one of the hills and in that process managed to have something cut my knee open pretty good. I’m in a lot of pain but it looks like I avoided hitting any ligaments, tendons, or arteries. I’m crushed right now because I’m not sure what this will mean for the rest of the season, but I’m stitched up and looking to get back out there as soon as I can. We’ll see how it plays out.”
