Supercross: Blake Baggett Takes First Win Of The Year At Daytona

Daytona Beach, Florida (March 8, 2014) – Blake Baggett grabbed his first win of the season, running away with tonight’s 15-lap final at the Daytona Supercross By Honda at Daytona International Speedway, round four of the 250 SX West Region Supercross Series.

Baggett took control of the race on lap two, taking the lead from his The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate Martin Davalos before pulling away to a 16-second lead at the finish.

Adam Cianciarulo made it an all Kawasaki podium by finishing second, the rookie passing Davalos for the runner-up spot on lap six.

Blake Wharton came out on top of a two way battle with his GEICO Honda teammate Justin Bogle for forth, while Jeremy Martin brought his Star Racing Yamaha home in sixth.

Matt Bisceglia claimed seventh on his GEICO Honda, while  Factory Metal Works Honda rider Vince Friese and SmartTop MotoConcepts’ Kyle Cunningham were eight and nine.

Matt Lemoine rounded out the top 10 on his JAB Motorsports Kawasaki.

With four rounds in the books, Cianciarulo leads the series standings with 94 points, followed by Davalos with 87 and Baggett with 79.
