The fourth running of the James Stewart Spring Championship is up and running at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas, with the first round of motos getting underway yesterday, March 18. And the racing was again action packed.

In the first 250 A Pro Sport moto, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Chris Alldredge and Rock River Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger were leading the way up front early one. Alldredge eventually opened up a gap later in the moto, but a mechanical failure on the last lap knock Alldredge out of the racine. Plessinger inherited the lead on went on to take the win.

Alldredge, however, would get revenge later on in the first 450 A moto. Alldredge came back with vengeance and took a dominant win over the rest of the field.

“The 450 race was really good,” Alldredge said. “I got off to a really good start, which is definitely key; threw down some fast laps right off the bat and getting the sighting lap here really helps. I lost the 250 race this morning so it just feels good to get a W today.”

Luke Renzland took third in the moto, followed by Keith Tucker, Plessinger and John Short.

Additional winners on the day included Lance Kobusch (85cc 12-14 Limited), Jet Reynolds (65cc 7-9), Bradley Taft (250 B/C), Hannah Hodges (Girls Sr. 12-16), and Ryder Difrancesco (51cc Limited 4-8), Alexander Fry (Schoolboy 2/13-16), Robbie Reynard (Vet 30+A), Cade Autenrieth (Mini Sr. 12-14 Mod).
