Daytona Beach, Florida (March 8, 2014) – Eli Tomac will be watching tonight’s Daytona Supercross By Honda from the sideline due to a sore shoulder he aggravated during this afternoon’s practice session, the same shoulder he hurt at the series opener at Anaheim I.

The GEICO Honda rider missed a couple of races earlier in the year after bruising the shoulder at the first round, but came back with an impressive runner-up finish at last week’s race in Indianapolis.

After taking a digger in the final practice session, Tomac walked off the track with a bloody face but checked out okay when he visited the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit at the track.

A team source said that Tomac was sore and decided to sit tonight’s race out since he is out of the points.
