Sutherlin, Tremaine Put Motorcycle Superstore On Top The Honey Lake WORCS Podium

Press Release | September 17, 2013

The following is from Motorcycle Superstore…

MEDFORD, OR (September 16) Motorcycle Superstore Superstars, Gary Sutherlin and Ty Tremaine, dominated round 8 of the WORCS event held this weekend in Milford, CA, at the Honey Lake Motocross Park. Sutherlin was the overall Pro Class winner and Tremaine captured the Pro 2 Class victory. Superstore riders Eric Yorba and Elizabeth Bash were also on the podium. Yorba finished second behind Tremaine and Bash took second overall in the Women’s Pro Class.

Although held at a motocross venue, this event was definitely an off-road course. “The rougher sections really played to my advantage,” explained Tremaine. “This was a real off-road race, which I really prefer. I loved the rocky sections and the waterfall and how they ran the course up the hillside and in the trees. It’s the type of terrain that I excel in.”

“It was great to see WORCS getting back to its true off-road roots and putting on a solid, technical race,” he explained. “This was one of my favorite races of the year, I couldn’t be happier with the day and pulling off the win. The WORCS guys did a great job.”

Although Sutherlin pulled off the overall win, the Pro Class championship was clinched by Robby Bell with his solid second place finish on the day. With only one round remaining in the series, the Pro 2 championship is still up for grabs. Current class leader, Starr Savage, has a 7 point lead on Tremaine and Yorba is 15 points back. Both riders are still mathematically in the running for the title.

The same scenario exists for Bash as she sits only 7 points behind Tatum Sik in the title chase for the Women’s Class Championship.

The next WORCS event will be held at Buffalo Bills in Primm, Nevada on October 11-13.
