Motocross: Mike Alessi To Miss Salt Lake City National

Mike Alessi will not race this weekend in Utah.
Smartop/MotoConcepts Team rider Mike Alessi says he will sit out this weekend’s round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Miller Motorsport Park in Utah. Last week at Unadilla, Alessi was involved in a second moto, first-turn pileup that injured his shoulder. Earlier this week, Alessi had an MRI which revealed multiple edemas, deep tissue bruising and won’t be 100-percent healthy for the Salt Lake race.
Alessi expects to return for the final round the week after at Lake Elsinore.
