Grand Prix Commission Meets At Catalunya

For the most part if you follow MotoGP the only time you hear about the rules of the series are if someone has broken them or if they are big enough to make a noticeable difference in the sport. Today in the Catalunya, the Grand Prix Commission met to decide on those rules that govern the championship.
According to the release issued by the FIM the bigger matters such as the amendments to the claiming rule and the details of the ECU regulations were discussed but no final decisions were made.
A few things were decided regarding technical and sporting regulations with the most notable being the age limit on Moto2 wild card riders was removed effective immediately. The 2013 regulation previously limited a wild card rider’s age to 28 years old as of January 1st of the corresponding championship year.
