For the second year in a row, the racing season ended way too prematurely for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Team rider Dean Wilson.

Wilson, who was making his debut in the 450 class in this year’s Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, fell midweek while practicing for the Muddy Creek National. An MRI revealed a torn labrum in his right shoulder, which is the same injury to the same shoulder that caused him to miss the entire outdoor Nationals last year.

“This is such a bummer,” Wilson said. “It’s the same shoulder I had problems with last summer, but as tough as this news is, it only adds to my determination to come back stronger.”
