Adam Cianciarulo says he’s ready to get his pro career started this weekend.

It’s official, Adam Cianciarulo will make his pro motocross debut this Saturday at the Budds Creek (Maryland) round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

His debut was planned for the opening round of the series at Hangtown but he got laid up with a bout with salmonella poisoning instead. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider, who will compete in the 250 class, says he’s finally ready to go.

“It was the worst possible time to get sick,” Cianciarulo said. “It took a lot out of me, but sitting out the first four rounds has allowed me to get back to 100-percent and I think I’m coming into Budds Creek even more prepared than I was for Hangtown.”

His team manager, Mitch Payton, said that there was no need to rush him.

“We wanted to make sure Adam was in top condition before lining up,” Payton said. “He has the advantage of having experienced teammates in Tyla Rattray and Blake Baggett to help him along the way and we expect him to be battling up front.”
