Tomac and 6D Helmets Top SX Podium Again

Press Release | January 23, 2013

Eli Tomac once again dominated round 3 of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross 250SX division with a convincing win Saturday night in Anaheim. Eli paced himself all night conserving energy and making strategic passes as he moved to the front. “I definitely started off slower today,” commented Tomac, who had been under the weather all week. “I was good in one practice and struggled in the other, so it definitely made the race matter that much more for the win. It was a great battle out there.” Tomac’s lead now stands at nine points over Ken Roczen, who has finished second at each event so far.

Zach Osborne came into the weekend rested after laying off the bike and his regular training program most of the week due to his crash in Phoenix where he injured his shoulder. Osborne recovered from a mid-pack start in the main event to effectively move through the pack, finishing just off the podium in 4th place. This is Osborne’s best finish of the series so far and he now sits in 4th place overall.

6D’s ATR-1 helmet brings an entirely new concept in helmet technology to the athlete. 6D’s ‘ODS’ (Omni-Directional Suspension) technology is designed to be more compliant against lower-threshold energy impacts, while still providing all of the necessary protection for extreme impacts. The ‘ODS’ system also significantly reduces critical angular acceleration energy providing additional protection to the athlete; a function traditional helmet designs are not equipped to address.

6D Helmets is dedicated to the health and welfare of motorcyclists everywhere. Its company goal is to provide the public with superior safety helmets from both a technological and design perspective. Visit www.6Dhelmets.com  for more information.
