Three-time AMA Grand National Champion Ricky Graham passed away 15 years ago today in a house fire in Salinas, California. Generally regarded as one of the most naturally talented dirt trackers in history, Graham won 39 AMA Grand National races; he also won a record six Nationals in a row in 1993 with a total of 12 of his victories coming in that season – another record.

Graham’s last race came at the Del Mar Mile in California in 1997 when he finished fifth.
