ISDE: Team USA Arrives In Germany

Team USA arrives in Germany for the 2012 ISDE.

So far, things are going fairly smoothly for Team USA at the International Six Days Enduro in Germany. Pretty much all of the U.S. contingent arrived by Wednesday afternoon and so far so good. No drama yet.

One of the most anxious moments of the entire Six Days is just hoping that your bike, which most of the riders had shipped many weeks ago, arrived at Parc Ferme on time. Many times that doesn’t happen. Bikes have been known to get stuck in customs, or whatever, and show up the day before the start, leaving the bike’s owners frazzled right up to the last moment. But this isn’t the case this year. Bikes, parts and containers are all where they are supposed to be. But a lot of work is still ahead. Containers are being unloaded and bikes are being assembled and getting ready for tech inspection – another stressful day, of course.

Most of the riders have had time to walk some of the special tests already in preparation for the start next Monday.
