Trey Canard Suits Up At Loretta’s

One of the highlights during this year’s Red Bull AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Tennessee was seeing Trey Canard getting back on the bike again and taking a few laps around the Loretta Lynn course.

On Monday, July 30, Canard finally got the okay from his doctor to ride again after breaking his back during the Los Angeles Supercross in February. Canard had only 30 minutes on the bike before making his first public riding appearance at Loretta’s. He was also demonstrating Honda’s latest – the 2013 Honda CRF450R production bike.

Unfortunately for Canard, the track had just been re-prepped and watered, and was quite soft and slick when his did his few laps, so he never did a lap at speed, though he later said he felt great on the bike and was certainly happy to be riding again.

Just prior to the Loretta Lynn’s race, Canard re-upped his contract with the factory Honda Muscle Milk team, saying he’s extremely happy to remain with the team, which is now set with Canard and Justin Barcia all locked in and ready to go.
