Road racer Kenny Noyes will be a wild card in this weekend’s British round of the World Supersport Series, the American set to ride a Suzuki GSX-R600 for the WKbikes Hampshire Motorcycles team.

Noyes has tested the bike at Silversone, the site of Sunday’s race, and also at Jerez in Spain. Noyes, who is racing in the Spanish CEV Moto 2 Series this year, last rode in the World Supersport Series as a wild card in 2006. He will be the only Suzuki-mounted rider in the World Supersport race.

“I am looking forward to this weekend,” Noyes said in a team release. “Over the last few days I tested with the team both at Silverstone and Jerez. It was a track day test at Silvesrtone with a lot of slower traffic and at Jerez the track temperatures were around 120 degrees, so it was impossible to make comparisons on lap times, but both the team and the bike are good and I felt very comfortable on the Suzuki. We´ll see how it goes at Silverstone and, if it works out, the team has offered a few more rides both in World Supersport and the BSB Supersport championships. That will be in addition to the Spanish CEV Moto2 where we are still in the running for the title.”
