With a new promoter and a new course layout, the 2012 edition of the AMA Fly Racing Ponca City MX Championships in Ponca City, Oklahoma, is starting to wind down. And with one day of racing still to go, a handful of riders have already clinched multiple titles.

Sean Cantrell has three title so far.

So far, Scottsdale, Arizona’s Austin Burns has been perfect, winning all 11 of his motos so far, and wrapping up titles in the 250A, 450A, and 250 Pro Sports classes. The Kawasaki rider has a chance to win a fourth title tomorrow when the third and final 450 Pro Sports moto takes place.

California’s Sean Cantrell has also been on a roll and has three titles to his credit so far, the Kawasaki rider going 1-1-1 to win the 85 12-13 Stock division title, 1-1-1 to take the Sr. Mini 12-14 title, and 1-2-1 to claim the Jr Mini 9-14 title.

Kentucky Suzuki rider Daniel Baker added the 250 B Mod and Schoolboy 2 (13-16) titles to his count with a pair of moto wins during today’s action, bringing his title his total at three titles, having already claimed the 250 B Stock title earlier in the week.

Other titles already wrapped up include the 65 (10-11) Mod class, which went to Florida Yamaha rider Jalek Swoll with three moto wins; the 85 (12-13) Mod division, which was won by California KTM rider Luke Purther with a 1-1-1 tally; and the 85 (9-11) Mod class, which was won by Florida Suzuki rider Jordan Bailey, also with a perfect score.

Tomorrow is the final day of racing and it gets underway at 8:00 am as the final 14 motos finish out the event.
