When the THR Kawasaki ridden by Robby Bell, Steve Hengeveld and David Pearson crossed the finish line in the 44th running of the Baja 500, it was the first time in 15 long years that a motorcycle other than a Honda motorcycle took the checkered flag in first place. But a Kawasaki winning in Baja is nothing new. The name Kawasaki was synonymous with Baja in the late 1980s and much of the ’90s before the company stepped away from Baja racing. But green is back. And back in a big way.
