AMA Pro Racing is on the hunt for a new president “to lead AMA Pro Racing into a new era of growth.”

That’s the word AMA Pro Racing as the organization has announced a reorganization that will allow “for an increased concentration on business development and an investment in executive personnel,” according to a press release issued this week.

During the reorganization process, the individual department heads will continue day-to-day supervision of AMA Pro Racing’s business divisions with guidance from David Atlas, the Chief Operating Officer who has moved into a new role as Chief Business Development Officer, as needed, and the company’s Managing Member Board – consisting of long-time motorsports executives Chris Harris and Tom Bledsoe, as well as Atlas.

The Managing Member Board is initiating a search for a President, to lead AMA Pro Racing into a new era of growth.

In this new role, Atlas will continue to build on the company’s existing relationships with promoters, sponsors, television and OEMs.

“Over the past three years, we have worked tirelessly as a team and I am so proud of the company that we have become, and the growth which we have achieved,” Atlas said in the release. “With these changes, we are making our operation stronger by investing more effort in future growth opportunities, our motorsports relationships and operating more efficiently. I will now be able to concentrate more on these important opportunities and relationships and cultivating business sectors and potential customers which we have not previously had the resources to fully prospect.”
