Travis Pastrana announced today in Detroit, Michigan, that he will drive a 2013 Dodge Dart in the 2012 Global RallyCross Championship Series.

Pastrana, a four-time Rally America Champion and National Motocross Champion, made the announcement at a press conference at the Hard Rock Cafe.

“If you don’t have the product to win, it’s not worth going racing,” said Pastrana, who will climb behind the wheel of the 600-plus horsepower Dodge Dart Rally Car after triumphing in virtually every form of motorsports involving heart-stopping twists, turns and jumps. “I love driving – this is going to be exciting.”

The Dodge Dart Rally Car will make its official public debut at the New York Motor Show next month.

Pastrana, meanwhile, will make his long-awaited NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in the No. 99 Boost Mobile Toyota at Richmond International Raceway on April 27 as part of a seven-race Nationwide Series schedule for 2012.

Pastrana was supposed to make his Nationwide Series debut last season at the July 30 race in Indianapolis, but he broke his right ankle and foot two nights earlier at the X Games.
