Monster Energy Yamaha’s Zach Osborne suffered a broken left collarbone, a possible crack in his right wrist and a concussion in a testing crash yesterday in Doncaster, England, just a few weeks before the start of his World Championship Motocross campaign.

Osborne was expected to be released from hospital today after spending the night in a local hospital. He will then head to the team’s workshop in southern England to have his wrist and collarbone examined by a specialist.

The first Grand Prix of the season is scheduled for April 9.

“I’m pretty banged up, but it could be worse,” said the MX2 GP start. “I think the collarbone could be more complicated because the X-ray showed a crack near where I have a plate. We should know some more information after another scan later.”
