Laguna Seca Twilight Ride Scheduled for 11/16

The following is from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca…With the holidays right around the corner, cyclists may want to take to the race track for a little preemptive exercise.

This month’s ride is Wednesday, November 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and offers bicyclists the chance to experience the world famous race track on two wheels, including its challenging 300-foot climb and awe-inspiring high speed descent down the world-famous Corkscrew and through the Rainey curve. The 11 turn 2.238 mile course is open to all levels of cyclists and the rides are always informal. Helmets are required and the cost is $10 per rider with proceeds going to charity.

Monterey-based Light & Motion will be on hand to loan out LED bicycle lights, which are among the lightest, brightest and most reliable lights available on the market.

The final Twilight Ride for 2011 is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7.

2012 Twilight Rides will be held on January 18, February 15, March 14, April 17, May 9, June 13, July 25, August 8, September 5, October 10, November 14 and December 12 – subject to change.
