BWW Team First, Pridmore Fifth At Le Mans

BMW Motorrad France 99’s Erwan Nigon put the team on provisional pole position for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, the fourth round of the World Endurance Championship.Nigon lapped at a best of 1:36.950 with his teammates Sebastien Gimbert (1:37.519) and Damian Cudlin (1:38.224) putting the team in a comfortable position as qualifying is based on the average lap times of all three riders.

Monster Yamaha YART’s Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Loris Baz, who is replacing the injured Gwen Giabbani, ended up second on the grid ahead of the Yamaha Racing France GMT 94 entry of David Checa, Kenny Foray and Matthieu LagriveThe Team SRC Kawasaki was fourth fastest with Julien da Costa, Gregory Leblanc and Olivier Four. Then came Maco Racing with Jason Pridmore, Greg Junod and Gregg Black in fifth.The second qualifying session is scheduled for tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time on the Bugatti racetrack.
