BigM Weekend Concert Lineups Set

Dierks Bentley, Sawyer Brown, Reckless Kelly, Creedence Clearwater Revisited signed

TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (April 13, 2011) – Miller Motorsports Park is pleased to announce the lineups for its two concerts that will be held on May 28 and May 29 as part of The BigM Weekend presented by Lucas Oil, which will feature the FIM Superbike World Championship and AMA Pro Road Racing.

The Saturday-night concert will be headlined by country superstar Dierks Bentley, with Sawyer Brown and Reckless Kelly as supporting acts. The Sunday-night concert will feature Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

“We are very excited to announce our lineups for the BigM Weekend concerts,” said John Larson, general manager of Miller Motorsports Park. “We know that Dierks Bentley, Sawyer Brown, Reckless Kelly and Creedence Clearwater Revisited are going to be very popular with our fans and we’re looking forward to two great shows!”

Dierks Bentley recently released his new rowdy sing-a-long party single “Am I The Only One” to radio, as the lead single off his upcoming sixth Capitol Nashville studio project. Bentley’s new album follows in the footsteps of his critically acclaimed UP ON THE RIDGE, which earned Album of the Year nominations at the ACM, CMA and GRAMMY Awards this year. His previous five albums have sold over five million copies, earned 10 GRAMMY nominations, have spawned seven No. 1 hits (“What Was I Thinkin,” “Come A Little Closer,” “Settle For A Slowdown,” “Every Mile A Memory,” “Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go),” “Feel That Fire,” “Sideways”) and 12 Top-10 hits. Bentley is also currently headlining the 30-city 2011 Jägermeister Country Tour through mid-May.

Sawyer Brown became a household name during the 1990s, winning the TNN/Music City News Country Music Awards “Vocal Band of the Year” for six consecutive years, (1993-1998), and the CMT Country Music Awards “Video Group of the Year” for three consecutive years (1993-1995) as well as the Academy of Country Music “Vocal Group of the Year” in 1997. They have released 20 albums, selling over 7 million copies, and more than 50 of their songs have entered the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three No. 1 singles.

Austin-based roots rockers Reckless Kelly are known for the integrity of their musical approach, the hard-core energy of their live shows and the fierce loyalty of their fans. The release of BULLETPROOF in 2008 turned up the intensity on their career. The album quickly became the band’s biggest seller, hitting the Billboard 200 and reaching the Top 25 of the magazine’s Top Country Albums chart. Their latest album, SOMEWHERE IN TIME, was released in 2010.

Creedence Clearwater Revisited brings Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Stu Cook (bass) and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford (drums) of the original Creedence Clearwater Revival together again with new bandmates to perform the CCR classics that provided the musical background for a generation of Americans in the 1960s and ‘70s. Negotiations are ongoing to secure a possible additional act for the Sunday concert.

Admission to the concerts is free to all race ticket-holders. Concert-only tickets are also available, priced at $25 per day in advance and $30 on the day of the concert(s). A discount of 10 percent is available for groups of 10 or more.

The May 28-30 weekend will include the USA Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, plus support races from AMA Pro Road Racing including the National Guard Superbike Championship, the Daytona SportBike Championship, the Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship and the Larry H. Miller AMA SuperSport Challenge. There will also be a major tribute to our armed forces in recognition of Memorial Day.
