Legends Dinner at Calistoga Half Mile (07/08/2010)

The past collides with the future at the Calistoga Half Mile National on July 31th, 2010. Some of the best young motorcycle riders will tackle the Calistoga Speedway at the Napa County Fairgrounds. But first, the heroes of the sport will have their time in the spotlight during a legends reunion celebration dinner.
Dick Mann, Carroll Resweber, Joe Leonard and Everett Brashear will be the guests of honor during the Motion Pro Grand Marshall’s dinner. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30pm and the dinner will begin promptly at 6 p.m. at Brannan’s Grill in Calistoga, CA.
Information and tickets to attend this dinner will be available on our website. Seating is limited so purchase tickets in advance.

• Dick Mann, a member of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, was a two-time AMA Grand National Champion. He won his first national event at Peoria, Ill., in 1959.

• Carroll Resweber, inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1998, won four consecutive Grand National championships from 1958-61.

• Joe Leonard, Hall of Famer won the inaugural AMA Grand National Series championship in 1954 and went on to win titles in 1956 and 1957. He dominated the local scene on the way to his 1957 championship, including a victory at the historic Vallejo Speedway.

• Everett Brashear, a 1998 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee, won 15 AMA Grand National events between 1952-1960. His final AMA National victory came in 1960 at the Sacramento Mile.

ABOUT THE WEEKEND: In addition to AMA Pro Racing, there will be a Motorcycle Show, Ride In Vintage Motorcycle Show, Legends Reunion , Vendor Booths and much, much more!

NOTABLE: The Motor Officer Tribute Ride is a 55 mile ride that will take place beginning at Infineon Raceway to the Napa Valley Fairgrounds. Its purpose is to pay tribute to those who ride a motorcycle to protect and serve us. Registration is $45.00 which includes a continental breakfast, pin and $20.00 off any level race ticket.

TICKETS: $30 for Infield -$50 Reserved Grandstand Seating; Pricing will increase at the door. Parking is $5.00 for cars and $2.00 for motorcycles.
