The following is a press release…

Ready to make their mark in AMA Pro national motocross, Jimmy Weinert Racing heads to Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship at High Point Raceway, June 11-12 in Mount Morris, PA.

“We’ve decided to expand our race team to include competing in selected national motocross events,” explains AMA Hall of Famer Jimmy Weinert. For this race, we will showcase the riding skills of Robby Marshall and Paul Lamb in the 450 class. I have known Robby for quite some time and he has raced for me before. He’s got a lot of talent and I think he will do a good job for us. Paul is a privateer that I am taking under my wing for the moment. He comes with good references and everyone on the team is looking forward to working with him.””Being able to race with Jimmy Weinert Racing is just awesome,” says Paul Lamb, who will pilot a Kawasaki. “It is so cool. He is a great guy and really knows his stuff. I just hope I do well enough to continue riding for him”Hailing from New Hampshire, Lamb has been racing for the past 11 years in both motocross and selected Supercross events. Earning numerous wins and championships along the way, he knows what it takes to win and is determined to earn a top finish at this weekend’s Rockstar Energy High Point National. In addition to the AMA Pro race, Jimmy Weinert Racing will also showcase the skills of young James Weinert in the amateur mini classes and Seth Rarick in the amateur Pro Am.”High Point Raceway is a great track,” says Weinert, who raced there many times during his career. “They have been hosting races for the past forty-four years and have a great history. It is really going to be fun to be there with the team.”Excited about his new racing adventure, Weinert also plans to open a motocross school and camp in the fall.”I have the time now to devote to having a race team, and a camp and school,” he says.

Racing is very much a family affair these days. My wife Lynda works behind the scenes and keeps us all organized. I couldn’t do it without her. She really supports our son’s decision to race and that is cool. I’m loving every minute of it and am looking forward to making our team one of the very best in the industry.”Jimmy Weinert Racing is sponsored by Dunlop Tires, Mechanix Wear, Crower Performance, Omega Braces, RAD Manufacturing, Maxima Racing Oils, BBR Motorsports,
