DiSalvo 10th In Debut Test

Kawasaki Motocard.com’s Joan Lascorz led the first day of World Supersport testing at the Portimao Circuit in Portugal today, the Spaniard leading both sessions and ending up with a 1:45.470 – a time that was just .3 of a second slower than the lap record he set during last season’s final race at Portimao.Lascorz led Michele Pirro, the Italian making his debut with the Ten Kate Honda team a successful one as he was just some .3 of a second off the Kawasaki man. Home boy Miguel Praia ended up third on the Parkalgar Honda, besting his teammate Eugene Laverty by .075 of a second. Laverty finished second in last year’s World Supersport Championship.Lascorz’s Kawasaki teammate Katsuaki Fujiwara was fifth and the last rider in the 1:45s. Then came ParkinGo Triumph’s Chaz Davies in sixth with his 1:46.610.American Jason DiSalvo ended his first day of World Supersport action in 10th on the second ParkinGo Triumph, besting one of his three teammates, Sebastien Charpentier. DiSalvo lapped at a best of1:49.233 in his first outing on the bike and his first laps at Portimao.
