Ben Spies will make his Yamaha MotoGP debut this weekend in Valencia, Spain, and here’s the bike he’ll do it on – the Sterilgarda Yamaha M1.Spies will ride in the special livery before switching to the Tech 3 Yamaha colors on Monday when testing begins for the 2010 MotoGP World Championship in Valencia.The newly crowned World Superbike Champion won 14 races this season in his rookie year in the series.”I’m really excited for the opportunity to raced at Valencia this weekend,” Spies said in a Yamaha release today. “I’m fully aware that MotoGP is a big step up from World Superbike and realize it’s not going to be possible to achieve the same results in my first year there. I see this weekned as an opportunity to spend some time on the bike and start learning it for next season, and to have some fun as well.”
