WORCS Holeshot Award

Cycle News Staff | November 6, 2008

The organizers of the AMA/Maxxis EnduroCross Championship Series, presented by Lucas Oil, announced today they are teaming up with the organizers of the AMA World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) to offer the WORCS Holeshot Award for the series final in Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena on November 22, 2008.

The well-known and leading off-road racing series on the West Coast, the “WORCS Series,” has recently wrapped up another very successful season and the organizers decided to support another AMA off-road event…this one just happens to be indoors! As many of the same teams and riders compete in both series’, the WORCS Holeshot Award is a great way to tie the two together.

“Everyone at WORCS Racing is a huge fan of Maxxis EnduroCross,” points out WORCS owner/organizer, Sean Reddish. “We thought sponsoring the holeshot award would be a great way to give back to the racers, while supporting the sport of off-road racing as well!”

Awarded to the rider taking the holeshot in the Expert Main Event, the winner of the WORCS Holeshot Award will receive an extra $500 courtesy of WORCS Racing.

“We are very pleased to have WORCS Racing onboard for the Vegas Finals,” says EnduroCross’ Eric Peronnard. “The holeshot award is a great opportunity to give back directly to the racers!”

The WORCS Holeshot Award will be yet another highlight of the final round of the AMA/Maxxis EnduroCross Championship Series on Saturday, November 22! Make plans now to get to Vegas for “the toughest racing on two-wheels!”

Tickets On-Sale now at the Orleans Arena, 888-234-2334; or online at www.OrleansArena.com.
