The following is from AMA Pro Racing…

Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour shown on Versus is dedicated to showcasing explosive-high energy racing from NASCAR Super Late Model, Superclean Modified, Lucas Pro Pulling, USAC Sprint, Silver Crown, Endurocross and now the AMA Indy Mile Grand National Motorcycle Race.

The Indy Mile was held to a capacity crowd at the Indiana State Fairgrounds during the MotoGP weekend. The motorcycle industry from around the world showed up in groves, celebrities, former AMA Road Race and Flat Track Champions along with Flat Track riders who went on to become World Road Race Champions; “King” Kenny Roberts and “The Kentucky Kid” Nicky Hayden.

First time AMA Pro Racing promoter, Bruce Hubley of Family Events was overwhelmed, “This was our first motorcycle race to promote so we were not sure what to expect. However the standing room only crowd along with some of the most intense and exciting form of racing I have seen, tells me we made the right decision to particpate in the AMA Grand National Series. Having support from Lucas Oil made this event happen and we look forward to next year.”
