Jarrett Wins Again at Moose Run

| June 4, 2007

FMF Team Suzuki racer Jimmy Jarrett picked up another win at the renowned Moose Run on Sunday. The Parts Unlimited OMA Nationals series stayed home in Fenton, IL this week for another installment of the event that has been called the toughest race in America. Rain during the week made conditions even more difficult than usual around the thirty-plus-mile loop.

Jarrett took the holeshot, but Brian Garrahan put his Yamaha 450 ahead of the pack for much of the three-hour first lap. Nick Fahringer led portions of the lap aboard a Gas Gas EC250, while Jason Thomas also had his Yamaha in the lead group much of the day and lead some portions.

After four hours and fifty two minutes it was finally over when Jarrett crossed the finish line checkpoint to complete his second lap of the gruesome combination of peat bogs, logs, tight woods, and creek crossings. Garrahan rolled in nearly four minutes later to capture second place. Nick Fahringer rounded out the Moose podium finishing his second lap at five hours, three minutes, and forty nine seconds. Jason Thomas struggled out of a peat bog to claim fourth place after riding just over five hours and eight minutes. Chris Bach fought his way through to round out the top five in five hours and thirty seven minutes.
