The following is from AMA Racing…

AMA Racing announced today that the 2007 AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship will be telecast on the MavTV television network. Airing on Thursday’s at 8 pm EST, AMA Flat Track will join existing coverage of other AMA professional and amateur series such AMA Prostar Drag Racing, Hillclimb, Speedway, Trials and Ice Racing as well as amateur Dirt Track, Road Race, Motocross Manufacturers Cup and Hillclimb Championships.

Along with original and repeat airings telecast on MavTV, selected AMA racing properties will also be webcast on MavTV’s broadband player on www.mavtv.com. AMA Vice President, Racing, Doug Neubauer welcomes the opportunity to expand the awareness of flat track racing. “AMA Flat Track is our most historic racing property,” said Neubauer. “The opportunity to showcase it on the growing MavTV network is something we’re very excited about.”

MavTV CEO, Steve Severn discussed his network’s relatively small, but loyal and growing viewer base. “MavTV is available in over 2 million households and 55 markets in the United States. Our programming is very targeted and designed to appeal specifically to men between the ages of 18-34. Motorcycle racing fits that market perfectly. We’re happy to partner with the AMA to expand coverage of its motorcycle racing series.”

Severn urges fans to show their support by calling and e-mailing their cable or satellite provider to add MavTV to their channel lineups.
