Husqvarna Signs Lance Smail

SAN DIEGO, CA: Husqvarna USA and Team GP Husqvarna signed 3-time AMA 4-Stroke National Motocross Champion Lance Smail for the 2007 Season. Lance will be contesting the World Off-Road Championship Series on his Husqvarna TC450. Lance will also be trying his hand at Supermoto for the first time at select events with the GP Husqvarna Supermoto team.
The several-time WORCS race winner said, “I’m really looking forward to the ’07 season. My GPR-Maxxis/Team GP Husqvarna [motorcycle] is working great, and I can’t wait for the first race“ I’m also very excited to try Supermoto with an established team like GP Husqvarna.” Smail went on to say, “I can’t thank Husqvarna USA and Team GP Husqvarna enough for giving me the opportunity to represent their products for the upcoming season.”
With the first WORCS race only two weeks away, the team is busy preparing. GP Husqvarna team owner, Paul Lima, said, “We are very excited to have Lance riding for us. I think this is a great opportunity to show how good Husqvarna off-road motorcycles are in the hands of a professional like Lance.”
Husqvarna USA General Manager Rob Keith shared the same sentiments saying, “We’re very happy to have Lance aboard and look forward to a great season.”
