Mees, Johnson To Hit The Airwaves

| June 1, 2005
The following is a release from the promoters of the Dairyland Classic Short Track:

AMA GNC flat track regulars Jake Johnson and Jared Mees will be discussing The Dairyland Classic Presented By Revolution Performance on ESPN Radio’s “The Afternoon Show with Huffy” on Thursday, June 2, at 4:25pm. “The Afternoon Show with Huffy” is heard on ESPN Radio 1530AM in Oshkosh/The Fox Cities and also on ESPN Radio 950AM in Sheboygan, so these interviews will reach most of Eastern Wisconsin.

Johnson, Grand National number 14, is the factory Suzuki rider who has won the last two Short Track Nationals (2004 DuQuoin, IL and 2005 Daytona, FL), and he currently sits fourth in the Grand National Championship point standings. Johnson commented that he is excited about hitting his first Dairyland Classic, which, in his own words, is “already a little National event all its own.”

Mees, Grand National number 21, is one of the top privateers on the circuit and currently sits 11th in Grand National points, although he currently leads both the 505cc Expert and 750/1000 Expert divisions in the AMA Hot Shoe National Series. Mees will be making his third visit to the Dairyland Classic.
