KTM rider Cole Calkins won the Parts Unlimited World Off-Road Championship Series round in Gilmer, Texas, yesterday. The race was the opening round of the WORCS’s eastern regional series.

It was a battle to the finish with Calkins taking the close win over fellow KTM rider Brian Garrahan, who was the early leader of the race. Yamaha rider Jimmy Jarret finished third, while YZ250F-mounted Russ Pearson took fourth. Former National motocrosser Guy Cooper rounded out the top five overall.

The top four riders all finished within a few seconds of each other following the two-hour race.
