Pichon Wins First Moto

The first moto of the FIM 250cc World Championship MX Series in Brou, France, has just been completed and the winner was Suzuki’s Mickael Pichon. Due to a holiday in Europe, the GP was held on Monday, June 12, instead of the usual Sunday.

In the first moto, Pichon jumped out to an early lead but crashed and broke his front brake. He still managed to keep the lead, though it gave Honda’s Frederic Bolley a chance to catch up. The last couple of laps, Pichon and Bolley battled back and forth, with Pichon barely holding on for the win.

Third went to Kawasaki’s Pit Beirer, followed by Yamaha’s Yves Demaria and Suzuki’s Josh Coppins.

American Ryan Hughes is not in France but is instead back home in California getting treatment for his injured hand.
