World Supercross Releases 2025 Rider Lineup

Ryan Nitzen | October 20, 2025

The FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) announced the rider lineup just ahead of the first race of their 2025 series. The roster includes former champions of both the WSX and AMA championships and also features “wild card” entires who will appear in one or more select races but not the entire series. Note that round one of the schedule in Malaysia was cancelled and relocated to a later date in Sweden, so the Argentina round on November 8 in Buenos Aires will now serve as the first race of the season.

Tomac has experience racing the WSX championship.

A few notes things we noticed at first glance are the omission of Tom Vialle. He was used in almost all of the WSX promo photos but is no where to be found on the rider roster. We expected him to sign with a new Honda team and thought he could be the final rider on the Quad Lock Honda team.

Vialle was listed in the WSX promos but is not named in the official rider list.

In the Suzuki camp we see Ken Roczen competing in the full series alongside his new teammate Jason Anderson who will debut on the Suzuki team. Kyle Chisholm is dropping down to the 250 class with Robbie Wageman who joins the PMG team for the first time.

Arenacross star Ryan Breece is racing the SX1 class with Austin Politelli who joins the team and replaces longtime MCR rider Vince Friese.

Interesting to see Max Anstie on the GSM team since he is still signed to the Star Racing Yamaha program – we assume there was some contract massaging there.

Venum Bud Kawasaki features a lineup we did not expect. Cole Thompson seems to ride any brand anywhere and the KX is another notch for him. Kyle Peters is also on the team after his long term success with the Phoenix Racing Honda squad.

The Stark team will also debut their electric Varg against the rest of the gas-powered machines.

The wild card entries are all from the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team. Tomac has competed as a wild card before but the additions of Justin Cooper, Cooper Webb, and Haiden Deegan bring a new wave of competition to the series.
