Infront Moto Racing has released the provisional 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship Calendar, which has 20 rounds and will culminate with the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations at Ironman Raceway in Indiana October 3-5.
The 2025 season kicks off with the MXGP of Argentina once again, but this time at a brand-new venue in Cordoba, planned for March 2. From there the action heads to Cozar, Spain, for the Grand Prix of Castilla La Mancha on March 16 followed by a return to the historic Saint Jean d’Angely in France on March 23 for the MXGP of Europe.
Rounds four and five, April 6 and April 13, will be in Italy, at Sardegna’s Riola Sardo and Pietramurata for the MXGP of Trentino. The first triple-header of the season is planned for Frauenfeld, Switzerland, culminating on April 21.
Then a yet-to-be-confirmed location on May 4 will be followed by a return to Spain on May 11 in a location to be announced soon.
The championship sweeps through France at Ernee on May 25, then on June 1 Germany’s Teutschenthal hosts round 10.
Latvia’s famed Kegums circuit is scheduled a week later, on June 8, and following a brief break, Indonesia’s Sumbawa and Lombok are on the docket for rounds 12 and 13, June 29 and July 6.
After the summer pause in July, racing resumes with a classic European stretch, featuring rounds in the Czechia at Loket on July 27, at Belgium’s Lommel circuit on August 3, and the MXGP of Sweden in Uddevalla on August 17.
The final leg of the European season wraps up in Arnhem, Netherlands, on August 24 before the series ventures into its final international phase. Turkiye’s Afyonkarahisar will welcome the riders on September 7, followed by Shanghai, China, for the penultimate round on September 14. The final round and for the first time ever, MXGP heads Down Under to Darwin, Australia on September 21.
The FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship will feature six rounds in 2025, beginning with the season opener in Sardegna at the Riola Sardo circuit, and then will travel across Europe, with rounds in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands in Arnhem, followed by the penultimate event in Turkiye. The series will culminate in a grand finale at the MXGP of Australia in Darwin, where the WMX, MXGP and MX2 classes will join together to cap off the season.
In addition, the European Motocross Championship in the EMX250 and EMX125, presented by FMF Racing, classes will feature 11 rounds as support classes for the MXGP Championship. Both series will begin with the second round of the season and the first European event in Cozar, Spain. The EMX125 category will conclude in Uddevalla, while the EMX250 finale will take place in Turkiye. On top of that the final rounds of EMX65 and EMX85 and the unique round of EMX2t will take place in Loket during the MXGP of Czechia while the sole round of EMXOpen will run at the MXGP of Flanders at Lommel.
The FIM Junior Motocross World Championship is scheduled for July 6 at Romagne in France, while the Motocross of European Nations on September 21 will also land in France at the venue of Castelnau de Levis.
