KTM announced the return of it its 450 SMR supermoto.
KTM’s 2022 450 SMR supermoto shares the same platform as its motocross cousin. The SMR is powered by the same motor, which weighs 59.5 pounds, that powers the 450 SX-F but, as before, “has been adjusted and modified for optimum supermoto use,” says KTM.
Gear shifting is handled by a Pankl Racing Systems five-speed gearbox with a Suter anti-hopper clutch. Brakes are made up of a Brembo four-piston radial caliper 310mm disc up front and a 220mm disc in the back.
Suspension features a WP Xact AER 48mm fork and a WP Xact rear shock.
The SMR is fitted with supermoto 16.5/17-inch Alpina wheels and Bridgestone racing slick tires.
Claimed dry weight is 224.8 pounds.
The 2022 KTM 450 SMR will be available at KTM dealers in October. CN
