2018 West Hare Scrambles and WORCS Pro 2 champions aiming for TKO success
This is a press release from Tennessee Knockout…
Sequatchie, TN (August 9, 2019) – The FMF/RPM/KTM Racing team Maxxis has confirmed that Trystan Hart and Spenser Wilton will be racing at the 2019 Kenda Tennessee Knockout. The two Canadian riders are among the top Extreme racers in North America and will be expected to earn top finishes at the TKO. The ninth annual TKO will take place at the Trials Training Center, in Sequatchie Tennessee on the weekend of August 16-18.
Hart is the 2018 AMA Western Hare Scrambles champion and has been one of the top EnduroCross riders for the past couple of years. 2017 was Hart’s best season so far as he finished second overall to Cody Webb in the AMA EnduroCross championship and earned the junior class championship for riders twenty-one and under. He started the 2018 EnduroCross season off strong, including a last-lap pass on Cody Webb at the California event to steal second place but unfortunately suffered a wrist injury that took him out of the remainder of the season. Hart was the top North American rider at the 2019 Erzberg Hare Scramble in fourteenth place so don’t be surprised to see him competing for the TKO win.
Wilton won the 2018 WORCS Pro 2 lights championship on his RPM KTM. The youngster has several top finishes in major US and Canadian off-road events to his credit already and will be aiming to use the experience gained in his first TKO appearance last year to move further up in the standings.
The 2019 TKO will again serve as the AMA Grand Championship for Extreme Enduro with the Amateur riders competing in a Friday afternoon Prologue and then two rounds or racing on Saturday. The top 30 riders from Saturday will also earn the opportunity to compete on Sunday with the pre-qualified pro riders. The pre-qualified Sunday riders earn an invite based on top results in several major US or International off-road motorcycle series and events. Top-25 pro finishers from the prior year’s TKO also earn a spot on the Sunday invite list.
The Sunday racing uses a unique four round Knockout race format that is challenging for the riders and entertaining for the fans. The course layout provides a lot of great spectator locations with some unbelievably challenging terrain for all four Knockout rounds. Mark your calendar for the weekend of August 16-18 to see the worlds best racers face off against the track and each other.
There is also a Women’s class with a separate main event that will run on Saturday afternoon. This is an AMA Grand Championship class and women riders can still enter.
Mark your calendar for the weekend of August 16-18 to see the worlds best racers face off against the track and each other.
