Automotive-footwear-maker Piloti has new boots for bikers, Zero Gravity has screens for Ninjas, Canadian Steadymate has a new Wheel Chock, and the Cobra gets telemetry.
Piloti makes automotive footwear for pros, but is branching out into the two-wheeled circle with its new Moto 800 line of motorcycle-riding boots. Named for the displacement of the MotoGP class, the Moto 800 was designed and developed to be strong enough for use while riding, yet comfortable and stylish enough to be worn off the bike, too. The Moto 800 has an all-leather construction, including Tec-Tuff leather in the toe to increase wear protection while maintaining flexibility. It has a self-adjusting mid-foot spat that covers the laces to prevent entanglement and to keep the elements out. The Moto 800 has Piloti's patented dual-density Roll Control heel, which offers support and cushioning, with the addition of a sculpted arch area to get feet planted on the bike's pegs for ease of shifting and enhanced rider control. The Piloti Moto 800 is available in five colorways.

Zero Gravity has a new line of 2009-10 Kawasaki Ninja 650R windscreens available in three styles in a variety of colors. First up is the stock replacement SR Series, which approximates the size, shape and function of the OEM windscreen. It comes in a variety of colors to customize the looks of the Ninja. Next is the Double Bubble, Zero Gravity's popular stepped-profile windscreen that was created by Zero Gravity Racing in the mid-'90s, It is sculpted to match the bike's race lines and adds to the aerodynamic look and function. The Sport Touring Series screen, which is two-inches taller than stock, provides extra wind protection for going further on the Ninja than just laps on the track. Zero Gravity screens are hand-polished on the visible edges and the maker says the screens have distortion-free optical clarity.

Cobra Motorcycles and Italian-based Athena Evolution partnered up to bring Formula One-like telemetry technology to youth motocross racing and training with the new MD60LOG. This data-acquisition-and-analysis system allows racers to track and map - using GPS - their performance output at motocross tracks located throughout the world. The onboard software tracks the rider around race course so that lap times, split times, and racing lines can be analyzed. At the annual NMA World Mini Grand Prix in Mesquite, Nevada, a number of Cobra factory and privateer bikes were outfitted with the MD60LOG. The device enables real-time recording and visualization of lap times, partial times and speed without the use of external sensors. It can be customized so tracks can be segmented and focus can be placed on what lines and techniques work best at a given section. It uses a pair of AA batteries (claimed battery life is approximately six hours) and comes with a CD containing the software and documentation relative to the instrument, a USB Cable and a storage case.

Steadymate's Wheel Chock keeps your bike supported vertically, but it doesn't use a side brace - unlike many other chocks - which prevents damage to the rims and the tire walls when the bike inevitably starts shifting around in transit. Steadymate says that it is fast and easy for one person to load the bike into it and that it assembles in about 15 minutes. It is adjustable to fit motorcycles with tire diameters from 14 to 26 inches. The finish is electronically sealed into the metal to inhibit corrosion on this heavy-duty chock, and there's even a reflective sticker inside to help align bike in the chock in low-light situations.
