Omega Neck Brace

Riders who don't wear protective neck braces have all kinds of excuses: My neck is too short and it's uncomfortable; I'm worried about increasing the risk of injury to my collarbone and sternum area: It's too restrictive for my riding style.

Omega has addressed these complaints, and more, with its new neck brace that is being distributed through WPS dealers.

The Omega brace features an exclusive Suspension Strap System that's designed to suspend the brace on your upper body and absorb the impact. The brace slows down the impact so it is much more manageable. Less force means less risk of injury. Other braces on the market rest directly on your shoulders and collarbones. This means that upon impact, the energy is directed to one targeted area. This is the reason why collarbones and sternums are often injured during impact.

The Omega brace is open in the front and is designed to direct energy away from the sternum during forward impact. This open front design also reduces the risk of damaging your throat during impact. The Omega brace is designed to direct energy away from the spine during impact. The suspension strap-system absorbs the energy. This is why the back of the chassis does not cover the spine area (as shown in the photo to the right).

The Omega brace is fully adjustable. It can be adjusted to suit each rider's individual riding style and preference. The entire brace can be raised and lowered to accommodate different neck lengths. The top plate of the brace has a pivot adjustment to allow the rider to adjust the tilt of the brace forward or backward.

So, no more excuses: Protect the part of the body that connects the brain to the rest of you!
