Smart Dipstick

Carrying around oily rags after checking your bike's oil level on a long road trip is a drag but a necessary evil – or is it? With the Oil Level and Temperature Dipstick from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories, you can check oil without getting your hands dirty or wiping the dipstick with a towel. This gadget displays the oil level and oil temperature with the push of a button. It has "capacitive" level-sensing technology and makes it possible to check oil level without touching a hot dipstick, without hunting for a rag, and without dripping oil on exhaust pipes. When activated by pushing a button, the backlight display indicates oil level with a four-segment graph, digital temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and also offers a reminder to check the oil when it is hot. The waterproof  LCD display is powered by a replaceable Lithium coin-type battery and includes a low-battery indicator. This digital dipstick looks good, too, and is available in black or chrome and fits 2002-06 Touring models, many 2000-later Softail models, and 2006-later Dyna models.
